Dr. SUN Zhe achieved his PhD from ENS-Cachan in Paris with a French dissertation of economic & urban sociology on the housing market and homeowner society in Shanghai. Now his major interests are urbanization in China, governance of global cities, and the rental housing market in Shanghai.

BU Bing, is the principal of One Design Inc. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degree of Architecture from Tsinghua University and Yale University respectively. His works include the LVG Office Complex at Shanghai, the Wulongtan Resort at Ningbo, urban design for West Town of Zhujiajiao, art installation work Cloud Room at Beijing/Taichung/Washington DC.

CHEN YUN, is project manager and researcher of West Heavens, Inter-Asia School. She also initiated Dinghaiqiao Mutual-Aid Society from 2014.

Fan Wenbing is associate Chair of the Department of Architecture, Shanghai Jiaotong University; chief architect of Atelier Fan. He has been working on architectural pedagogy, urban renewal, and the domestic architectural design in Contemporary China. His publications include the Conservation and Renewal of LiLong Housings in Shanghai (2004) and Notes on Architectural Pedagogy (2014).

Aneerudha PAUL is presently the Director of the Kamala Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA), Mumbai. From 2003 onwards he has been an advisor to the Collective Research Initiatives Trust (CRIT), through which he is presently involved in working with issues of housing and slums in the inner city areas, assisting communities to develop their own plan for their neighborhoods.
