MOU Sen is a theatre director and the founder of independent theatrical troupes, Frog Experimental Troup and Theatre Workshop. His major works include The Other Shore (1993), Zero File, It’s about AIDS and The Red Herring, etc. He has staged many of his works in international theatre festivals, including the International Theatre Festival in Brussels; Maubeuge International Theatre Festival in France; Granada International Theatre Festival in Spain, etc. Zero File has been performed for nearly a hundred times on international tour, making it the most performed Chinese theatre in foreign stages. He constantly probes the historical narrative pattern, especially of China’s modern history. In the end of 2011, he started writing Shanghai, a radically long narrative with ten parts.
