Ravi Sundaram, Senior Fellow of CSDS, New Delhi, visited Shanghai the first week of May, 2012. He was invited by China Academy of Art and West Heavens to start his exchanges and researches with this part of China. His work rests at the intersection of the postcolonial city and contemporary media experiences. As media technology and urban life have intermingled in the postcolonial world, new challenges have emerged for contemporary cultural theory.
